For many years Dave Heap from the Weymouth and Portland unit has participated in the wreath laying service at the site of the sinking of HMS Foylebank on 4th July 1940 in Portland Harbour. Annually, together with Ginger Reynolds (seen in photo below) now aged 92 (and the last living survivor of the sinking) and his family, a wreath has been laid at the site. The wreath is then recovered and taken to the Royal Naval Cemetery on Portland for a short memorial service
