Co-operation wins over cards
Chris Todd (our AVO-North) decided that this year in lieu of writing out all those Christmas cards and posting them off to the four corners of the Kingdom, he would do something useful with the money instead. Having seen at first hand the good work done by the Nurses of Macmillan Cancer Support, Chris decided to donate the postage and card money to that cause.

So on Friday 23rd December, Chris went to the Macmillan Cancer Support offices at Birchwood, Warrington to hand over his cheque. Fund Raising Manager for the East Lancashire area Seb Farrell gladly accepted the donation.
Chris explained the role of the MVS and it was agreed that after the Christmas break Chris would meet up with Seb and explore how the two charities could work together.
