Solent training opportunities on East Sussex 1 in July

ES1 will be on charter to the RN for Combined Cadet Force training in the Solent from Sunday 8 to Sunday 15 July. Only a small crew will be needed for the actual deployment but we can take up to 15 members on the delivery trips.

The plan is to slip from Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, early on Saturday 9 July and return on Monday 16 July.

The trips there and back will be valuable training; for those counting seatime for RYA purposes, the trips will provide one or possibly two nights on board. The only costs will travelling to and from the vessel. Catering onboard will be free of charge .

East Sussex 1

Friday 6 July to Saturday 7 July

Join ES1 at Sovereign Harbour in the evening

Overnight stay in Sovereign and slip in the early hours of Saturday morning

Arrive Whale Island (Portsmouth) late afternoon Saturday – leave vessel either then or on Sunday morning, 8 July by 1000.

Sunday 15 July to Monday 16 July

Join ES1 at Premier Marina, Gosport (very close to Gosport Ferry) in the evening

Overnight stay at the marina and slip at 0800 on Monday for the trip back to Sovereign, arriving late afternoon.

The core crews will be provided by ESSH Unit/Cinque Ports Region but there will probably be about 8 berths for members of other Units. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis.
