You will be aware that the Coastguard is currently consulting on proposals for major changes to its organisation and operation. It is important that your views are made known either by responding to the consultation document on the MCA website or by attending one of the public meetings shown on the timetable below.
MCA PUBLIC MEETINGS TO DISCUSS COASTGUARD MODERNISATION PROPOSALS
Dates and venues for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency series of public meetings concerning the proposed Coastguard modernisation programme.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the local communities around the existing Maritime Rescue Coordination Centres (MRCCs) to hear more about the proposals, ask questions of MCA representatives and have the opportunity to express their views.
Each meeting will be independently chaired and will begin at 7:30pm, expecting to draw to a close by 9pm.
