MVS Poole make it happen for TV’s Ben Fogle

It’s been a busy week for MVS Poole who loaned their Yamaha Personal Watercraft Vasco 1 to broadcaster Ben Fogle so he could go on patrol with the Poole Harbour Commissioners as part of the second series of “Harbour Lives”.

It all happened at short notice following a call from the production team on Monday leading to filming taking place in the harbour on Thursday.

It turned out to be the warmest day of the year so far and four MVS volunteers were able to assist with cleaning and preparing Vasco 1 to make sure she was in the best condition to represent the Poole Unit and the MVS as a whole.

Ben was very relaxed and friendly and showed a keen interest in the work that the MVS do.

Thanks go to Mark Enticknapp for liaising with Hermione Drew of Shiver TV to enable the shoot to take place and to Iain Rainford, Neil Davison and Mark Gregory for helping to prepare the PWC on the day and being on hand to answer questions and to promote the MVS.
