Multi Agency Training in the Solent

MVS Portsmouth has completed a successful weekend of training with NCI Gosport and the independent Gosport Lifeboat (GAFIRS).
The purpose was for the NCI to direct GAFIRS to the casualty vessel, which was onboard MVS Arkwright.
The NCI who were being assessed during the exercise successfully guided the lifeboat to the MVS location in the Solent twice.
The MVS also simulated a steering failure and utilised emergency steering for the first time.
