MVS Port of Manchester at City Air Show
08 July 2015
The return of the Manchester Air Show after 20 years was marked with an appearance by the MVS.
The show attracted 15,000 visitors and became the new unit’s most successful event to date, with a number of potential recruits coming forward.
The show was brought to an abrupt end when a storm blew in with torrential rain.
In the true tradition of the service, Port of Manchester helped fellow exhibitors by getting their stalls packed away and giving shelter in their stand during the torrential downpour.
Volunteer Anthony Bonney was called upon to give first aid, when a member of the public cut her foot during the chaotic scenes.
