First Aid Success for Severn Unit

Members of the Tewkesbury based Severn Unit have attended a RYA First Aid Course at the local Croft Farm Water Park and successfully achieved their new RYA qualification.

Head of Unit Nic Price said, “Instructor Tom Lawrence covered subjects ranging from resuscitation, treatment of an unconscious casualty, to treating hypothermia and drowning.

We all learned a great deal and this knowledge and practical experience should stand us in good stead if a medical emergency occurs.”

The qualification will enable five members to progress towards achieving a RYA Advanced Powerboat Qualification later this year.
