MVS Poole put to sea on East Sussex 1

Although the Poole Unit has several vessels at their disposal, the chances to go to sea are rare and the opportunity to crew the national training vessel East Sussex 1 for two days at the end of July was very welcome.

Members were able to familiarize themselves with a larger boat and make two coastal passages practicing their navigational skills along the way.

Skipper Frank Revill said, “I was very pleased to have the opportunity to take ES1 out with a local crew and be able to give them boat handling and navigation practice on a larger vessel.”
