MVS marks Trafalgar Day 2017

The Maritime Volunteer Service has marked Trafalgar Day with events all around the country.

Trafalgar Day is the celebration of the victory won by the Royal Navy, commanded by Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson over the combined French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar on October 21st 1805.

Trafalgar dinners were held in by MVS units in Northumbria, Humberside, Gloucestershire and by MVS East Sussex in Bexhill-on-Sea.

MVS National Chair, Captain Tony Minns, was guest of honour for the evening held at Bexhill Sailing Club.
