MVS Christchurch & Bournemouth in Speeding  Operation at Mudeford Quay

Members of MVS Christchurch & Bournemouth have taken part in a joint operation with other local agencies including  Christchurch Council, Dorset Police and the  Coast Guard.

The operation was to target jet skis and speeding boats in the harbour and advice was given on safety, security and speed.

The MVS was used largely in a spotting role but also warned operators of speeding boats that the police could be having words with them.

Ben Feeney, Christchurch Councils Community & Recreations officer said, “The news of our operation has spread about the harbour so we hope it sends a clear message that we are dealing with the local issues”.
