MVS Medway at the Whitstable Oyster Festival

Volunteers at MVS Medway have spent two very hot days at the Whitstable Oyster Festival raising the profile of the MVS with the local public and raising funds for unit activities afloat and ashore.

The weekend’s efforts raised over £700, which will help the unit fund an outboard engine and also help cover training costs.

Head of Unit Alan Metcalf said:  “I was very proud that the Medway members all joined in at the festival which was attended by 16,000 people and I think we talked to every one of them.”
