New Treasurer for MVS Northumbria

MVS Northumbria has a new treasurer in the form of Jennifer Mitchelson who is a Planning and Resources Manager at Newcastle College.

Jen heard about the charity’s need for a new treasurer from Head of Unit Angela Carrington and after attending an open evening and a trip on one of the unit’s vessels, Jen was firmly anchored to the idea of volunteering.

“I love boats due to childhood holidays and weekends spent sailing round the west coast of Scotland on my late Papa Macleod’s boats.
You don’t necessarily appreciate these things as a child but looking back I understand now how lucky I was.”

Head of Unit, Angela Carrington said, “Jen is a massive asset to the unit and her accounting skills are invaluable.”
