MVS Dundee has hosted a visit from Chief Volunteer Officer Nick Spencer.

The CVO is touring the UK visiting units and took the opportunity to meet with local volunteers to explain the reasons for recent changes to the MVS management structure and operational procedures.

During the visit the CVO presented Volunteer Chief Petty Officer, Charles ‘Ian’ Cranmer with the Maritime Volunteer Service Long Service Medal.

Ian had served in the Royal Naval Auxiliary Service up until its disbandment and became a founding member of the Maritime Volunteer Service in Dundee back in 1994 and remains an active part of the unit.
