New Rescue Kit for MVS Rushden
The Rushden unit have been out on the water testing their newest piece of rescue equipment, a Sked Stretcher.
The stretcher is ideal for all types of rescue, including confined space, horizontal and vertical lifting situations.
The Unit was able to procure this vital piece of rescue equipment thanks to a Member Empowerment Fund Grant from East Northants Council.
The head of water rescue for MVS Rushden, VCPO Paul (Rafter) Mills said, “this is a vital piece of rescue equipment that not only compliments our existing water rescue equipment but also with our land based activities such as urban disaster search & rescue”.
The Sked Stretcher also increase the capabilities for Northamptonshire Emergency Response Corps (NERC) the counties resilience organisation of which MVS Rushden are an active member.
