Statement on the passing of Her Majesty The Queen

The Maritime Volunteer Service are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen and we extend our sincere condolences to the Royal Family.

This is a momentous moment for the nation and the end of an era.

Her Majesty had a number of connections with the maritime community being head of the Royal Navy and a frequent traveller on the Royal Yacht Britannia.
Her name lives on at sea with HMS Queen Elizabeth and Cunard’s liner Queen Elizabeth.

On behalf of all of our volunteers we would like to pass on our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to all the members of the Royal Family at this very sad time.
