MVS Sets Sights on Perth
The possibility of a Perth Unit of the MVS being opened is moving closer as potential members are being invited to a special open day.
MVS Liaison Director Nick Spencer and Regional Volunteer Officer Angela Carrington will be holding a drop-in session for members of the public to come and find out about the charity on Saturday 22nd April from 11am to 3pm at Willowgate Cafe in Perth.
MVS Liaison Director Nick Spencer said ”You can find us in the MVS Gazebo near the entrance to the Willowgate Cafe and we would love to talk to anybody who has an interest in boats and the sea.
No experience is necessary as we offer full training to RYA standards.”
Regional Volunteer Officer Angela Carrington added ”We are planning to launch the new Perth Unit in early summer to take advantage of the boating season.
We’re also looking forward to meeting as many people as possible irrespective of age (over 18) or physical ability as there is a place for everyone in the MVS.”
