Make a donation today to support the Maritime Volunteer Service

MVS Donate

The Maritime Volunteer Service is a national charity run by volunteer members. The majority of our members come from seagoing professions. Our senior members give their time to encourage younger people to act safely and responsibly on the water and to use their skills in emergency response activities. We are funded by public donations and the fundraising efforts of our volunteers. We are not attached to any other organisation, and need your help.

Donations & Bequests

Please consider making a donation or perhaps even a bequest to allow us to continue in our work.

Your gift will be used by the MVS to maintain our efforts around the country.

If you would prefer that it should be used in a specific part of the country or for a specific purpose, then please contact us with your preferences.

We are a registered charity (England and Wales No. 1048454 and in Scotland SC 039269) and every donation, however great or small, is always appreciated.

Donation of Goods

Many of our supporters and sponsors make donations of goods or equipment and we are always happy to receive them.

In the past, we have been given several vessels, foul weather gear and teaching aids.

We are happy to organise this locally or nationally. Please contact hq@mvs.org.uk or your nearest unit.

Give support by making a donation through Gift Aid

The Gift Aid scheme allows the Maritime Volunteer Service to claim the tax back from the Inland Revenue on any donation from our supporters, as long as they are UK taxpayers.

If you wish to make a donation, please inform us if you are a UK taxpayer, to enable us to reclaim the tax by completing our Gift Aid Declaration Form (available upon request).

An overview of the Gift Aid Scheme is available on the HM Revenue & Customs website.
