MVS Assist in Search for Nicola Bulley

MVS Fleetwood has been tasked on two occasions by Lancashire Police to assist in the search of the River Wyre for missing Nicola Bulley.

The 45-year-old disappeared from St Michael’s on Wyre on January 27th.
Lancashire Police have stated that there is no evidence of either suspicious activity or third party involvement in the disappearance and their primary working hypothesis is that she fell into the River Wyre.

The first day involved the unit taking their RHIB Tom Hale as far upstream as tide and depth would safely permit, whilst the second was downstream towards the river mouth at Fleetwood.

The team investigated various culverts and streams leading down from local farms along with the many pillars supporting the dock infrastructure where the Wyre meets Morecambe Bay at Fleetwood.

Despite an ongoing search which has included police divers, helicopters, sniffer dogs and drones, no trace of her has been found.
