25TH TRAFALGAR NIGHT DINNER CELEBRATIONS FOR SEVERN UNIT MVS

Trafalgar Night 2025

Tewkesbury based Severn Unit Maritime Volunteer Service held their 25th Trafalgar Night Dinner on 17th October at Brown’s Restaurant, Tewkesbury Garden Centre.  Head of Unit Nic Price said “It was a most successful evening attended by 31 people who enjoyed an excellent meal.  We were very pleased that Town Mayor Cllr. Alan Hayes and his Wife and Consort Diana were able to join us for the evening and the Toast to the Immortal Memory was given by  Regional Volunteer Officer (Retd.) David Frazier.  Among our guests we were also pleased to welcome no less than three RVO’s  – two retired and one current – as well as Avon Navigation Reach Master Paul Cronin and his Wife Margaret.  The evening was rounded off with a rousing rendition of the Sea Shanty “A Drop of Nelson’s Blood” lead by Nic Price, Ben Foster-Smith and Richard Price.   Altogether it was a most memorable and enjoyable evening. ”
