On Sunday 25th January MVS Bristol Unit, together with local  charities React and 4×4 Wessex, responded to a call for volunteers to help Wessex Water deliver bottled water to homes affected by a water shortage due to issues with Bristol Water distribution. Residents in areas of South Bristol had been without running water for three days.

Head of Unit Elana Howard reported: “Our volunteers responded to the call and drove to the distribution area, loaded up their cars and delivered to homes around the affected area, particularly for vulnerable people. Everything went smoothly and the MVS team worked well together.

Bristol Water were amazing and really helpful. It was lovely to see the Wessex 4×4 team again and meet the team from React.”

Packs of bottled water were delivered to more than 30 homes and also to a community centre.
