MVS Littlehampton
Unit Information
Located in the South coast port of Littlehampton.
The unit meets on Monday evenings at 19:00 in the local Sea Cadet HQ at Arun Villa, on the West bank of the River Arun.
Our weekly classroom and practical training focuses on Navigation, Seamanship, Radio Communications, and Engineering; closely aligned to the course content for RYA Powerboat Level 2, VHF Short Range Certificate, and Day Skipper Theory.
This is supported by regular afloat training during the spring and summer months, to develop and practice boat handling skills on the tidal River Arun aboard our 5.4m RIB.
In addition, we assist the Littlehampton Harbour Authority by operating as a guard boat during large shipping operations within the port, and by conducting regular patrols along the River Arun, to educate and encourage good practice on the part of all river users.
