MVS Southampton

The Southampton Unit of the MVS was set up in 2023.

We have a Pan’s Marine P340 rigid hull vessel with a 25HP Yamaha outdoor engine based at Shamrock Quay and a Mitchell 31 displacement launch based at Ocean Village Marina.

We train volunteers in small boat handling skills and carry out harbour patrols on Southampton Water from Redbridge to Calshot including the River Itchen

We have a close relationship with Warsash Maritime School and provide volunteering opportunities for Officer Cadets to improve their small boat handling skills and see Port Operations close up.

We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, with or without boating qualifications.
