The MVS Temporary Chief Volunteer Officer has announced that she is stepping down from the role and her position of Trustee on the MVS Council.

Lynn Peppitt says that since she has served in a management role for the service for nine years it now feels like a good time for a new person, with fresh ideas to step up and take the helm.

Lynn will also be retiring as a Trustee at the end of June, giving her more time to offer to the local Unit and help them move forward with their new boat.

Lynn has been involved in voluntary maritime organisations for over 50 years.
This began with Sea Rangers, then the Girls’ Nautical Training Corps, which was amalgamated with the Sea Cadet Corps in 1980, before joining the Isle of Wight Nautical Cadet Force and finally the MVS in the late nineties.
She now hopes to find some time to relax and enjoy being a member of the local MVS Unit.

Lynn was presented with flowers by the MVS Chairman, Captain Tony Minns at the February CoM meeting in Putney.
