Restoration work continues on Tom Sherrin

tomsherrinrestoration

The MVS Poole restoration of the ‘Tom Sherrin’ is continuing.

The vessel is now in Boatshed No.4 at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard where the International Boatbuilding Training College have commenced work on her ageing timbers.

MVS members visit each Thursday to prepare the engine for lifting, removing old wiring and prepare the hull for internal and external painting.

Any members who are in Portsmouth are welcome to pay a visit.

Entry to the Dockyard and Boatshed are free and volunteers are welcome to help.
