Severn Units Important role at the Tewkesbury Big Weekend
17 May 2017
The Severn Unit was kept busy at the Tewkesbury Big Weekend, which is a charity event bringing the town and river together.
The Unit provided safety boat cover and operated the MVS Marine Control Centre which monitored and controlled the river traffic over the two days.
The unit organised three successful duck races and their own water display team put on a public demonstration.
Head of Unit Nic Price said, “The whole weekend was a great success and we were proud that our efforts were commended by Avon Navigation Trust Director Paul Cronin”.
