Armed Forces Day marked in Salford

Salford’s armed forces week reached a grand finale at the Winton Festival at Winton Park in the city this week.
The day featured local armed forces units, Greater Manchester Police and local charities who support veterans.
MVS Port of Manchester had a stand advertising the benefits of joining the service.
The units operations lead Anthony Bonney said. “We had lots of interest and one person is definitely coming along to our next meeting to find out more.”
