MVS opens boat to public for August BH Weekend

Members of the MVS at Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne, are ready to welcome the public on board their 17 metre long ex-Royal Navy launch East Sussex 1 this weekend.

East Sussex 1 will be moored at Sovereign Harbour’s Waterfront and open to the public from 1 to 5 pm each day over the Bank Holiday.
Children will also be welcome on board, and will have the opportunity to ‘steer’ the ship, as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.

The Eastbourne-based training vessel has recently returned from few days sailing out of Dover, where she took out groups of Sea Cadets on basic sea experience trips.

Once the Bank Holiday is over East Sussex 1 will sail to the Solent for three weeks to provide members with intensive training in busy waters.
