MVS Humber goes Carbon Neutral

MVS Humber has taken delivery of a new electric outboard as part of a plan to be more environmentally friendly.

The outboard will give 55 pounds of thrust which will equal around five to six mph or five knots depending on the weight load.
Humber operates on canals with a speed limit of four miles per hour.

To recharge the battery they have a solar panel and another battery for going further afield.
This means MVS Humber is the first unit in the organisation to go carbon neutral in terms of being pollution free.
