Kingston Civil Party gets Blue Light Escort

MVS Kingston was given the prestigious duty of being the official river transport of the borough’s civic party to the annual Dragon Boat Race and community fair.
The Unit has built up a strong relationship with the Kingston upon Thames Council since being formed.

Deputy Head of Unit, James Deller said: “It was a fantastic opportunity and privilege to engage with popular mayor, Councillor Yogan Yoganathan MBE, his deputy, Councillor Nicola Nardelli, and his consort.
We also managed to give the civic party the best seats in the house as we were able to slow to stop at the finish so they could see the dragon boats cross the line”.

The mayor has now made it known that he would like to use MVS Blue Light as his official river transport for the remainder of his year in office.
