It was a busy start to the year for MVS Nene after Storm Henk caused flooding in Northamptonshire.
The unit was on stand-by to help local communities and was tasked by Northamptonshire Fire Service to support the evacuation of Billing Aquadome.
Mobile homes at the site, which is a holiday park in Great Billing, were submerged.
The company released a statement saying that the park was in “full evacuation”.

The unit arrived on site with five members, two boats, a rescue sled and a Land Rover.
The unit had a briefing from the fire service and given an area of Billing to search where around 130 people and animals were stuck in their mobile homes.

The unit teamed up with fire crews from Wellingborough to check on priority mobile homes by driving as far as they could in the vehicle until water levels became too deep.
The team took two rescue sleds and waded through the flooded roads to check on priority mobile homes which were reported to have occupants.

The unit then worked with lowland rescue to evacuate people that wanted to leave the site including a resident who needed to climb out of the window onto a rescue sled.
