Shoreham Air Show deployment – 31 Aug & 1 Sept 2013

EAST SUSSEX 1 is booked to deploy for two days as guardship to the Shoreham Air Show in West Sussex. There will also be a small operational support party ashore.
 
EAST SUSSEX 1 is due sail from Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, early on the 31st August, returning late on the next day,1st September.
 
This is an important and interesting duty supporting a major Royal Air Forces Association display controlled by the Civil Aviation Authority. The guardship is required to be on station and well offshore to provide essential spotting for the emergency services in the event of an aircraft coming down in the sea or any equipment falling. Operational support ashore liaise with the Airport Control and control MVS assets at the river Adur.
 
MVS is proud to support another National Charity event while also gaining valuable training opportunities.
