New MVS Communications Manager

The MVS has appointed John Spencer-Barnes as the new National Communications Manager.

John who is a member of the Morecambe Bay unit works as a journalist and presenter with the BBC.

“I’m honoured to be given the responsibility of looking after MVS Communications” says John “and I aim to build on the fine work of my predecessor Glenn Bramble-Stewart”.

Over the next few months the communications team will be looking at redesigning the MVS website to make it more useful for members and will be using social media to make more connections in the maritime community.

We also want to help local units make the most of publicity opportunities that are available to them.
