From Severn to Sea

The annual offshore trip for the Tewkesbury based Severn Unit has taken place with the team crewing two boats from Sharpness Docks.
As well as visiting Cardiff, the training cruise was extended this year to take in Bristol with an over tide stop at Portbury where members experienced drying out at low tide.
Head of Seamanship Tim Huckvale said “The trip was a great success with several members going offshore with the Unit for the first time and we were very pleased how well our recently donated training boat Minerva performed in the variable sea conditions.”
