Making Water Safety Fun in Salford
The MVS in Manchester has joined partner agencies from across the region to promote water safety as we head towards the summer holidays.
The Safe4Summer campaign aims to provide activities to prevent antisocial behaviour among young people in Greater Manchester.
The H20 Fun Day took place in front of the BBC at MediaCityUK in Salford and provided demonstrations of first aid, rescue boats and life saving equipment.
The MVS joined the RNLI, the Royal Navy,Salford Sea Cadets, Greater Manchester Policeand the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service to make the event happen.
MVS Port of Manchester HoU Ian Hopkinson said, “It was a great pleasure to showcase the MVS and what we can do in the region in front of such a large and enthusiastic audience”.
