Offshore Training Cruise for Severn Unit

Members of the Tewkesbury based Severn Unit set sail this month in three boats including MVS Minerva for their annual offshore training cruise to Cardiff, Bristol and Portishead.

Head of Unit, Nic Price said,  “The entire trip went extremely well despite, encountering rough seas at times and it gave the unit valuable experience in handling boats in tidal conditions.

As well as using charts, it also gave us a good opportunity to use our new electronic chartplotter and broadband radar system which proved to be most successful.”
