MVS Vessel Arrives in Fleetwood

Plans to open an Operational Unit at Fleetwood in Lancashire have taken a big step forward today.

MVS Curlew a 34 foot, Nelson Launch, has been transferred to the Lancashire port from the South West Region.

The weeks of careful planning went a little astray as the transport was delayed at the queue to unload at the Southampton Boat Show, but only a day late MVS Curlew arrived in her new home.

Earlier today the crew at Fleetwood Haven Marina lowered Curlew back into the water, all thanks to the generosity of Associated British Ports.

PVO for Fleetwood Tony Coleman said, “All we need now is a home to meet in shore side, but that will come”.
